Families First

The Government’s Families First Programme aims to strengthen the partnership approach to:

• Deliver earlier intervention and statutory services, and reduce changes in lead practitioners through what is called ‘Family Help’
• Prevent significant harm to children more robustly through the development of Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams
• Involve more family members and wider networks to support families, through the improved use of Family Group Decision Making
