• The Home Office has published an overview of the county lines programme which has been tackling child criminal exploitation. The programme so far has closed more than 1,500 lines, safeguarded more than 4,000 vulnerable people and engaged more than 4,000 individuals through safeguarding interventions.

Contextual Safeguarding and Harm outside the Home:

• The Independent Review of Children’s Social Care in England has published a blog discussing harms outside the home, which is one of the areas under consideration by the review. The blog focusses on the criminal exploitation of children and young people in and on the edge of care
  Children in care are being pulled in to do the dirty work on county lines
